Before compensation is given CR will check with engineering to see what has been written in the cabin technical log, they will also check to see what the CSD has written on the onboard form regarding any IFE problems.
From what you have written I seem to me that you didn’t have any IFE at the beginning of the flight and so went to sleep but cannot say how long your seat was without any IFE?
