my former employer has a pretty sensible plan... if you're flying TATL/TPAC
and your schedule allows it, you can choose to fly coach instead of business
class. The reason for doing it? The company lets you take one day off before
and after the flight(paid leave). The best part is that the employee gets to
have 50% of the difference between business and coach. (sent to
the employee at the end of the month in the form of a prepaid AmEx gift
card)
