Hope this is the right place to post this. I am having a VERY hard time finding an affordable rate for my hotel of choice for June 28th and 29th: the Hyatt Regency in the Embarcadero area of San Francisco. I'm wondering if there's some sort of deal/promotion that could help me out in this situation. I'm willing to open up a credit card if that's what it takes.

I'm usually flexible about hotels... however, for several reasons, I'd like to stay in this hotel VERY badly. Unfortunately, I have been quoted outrageous amounts (like $230 AFTER my corporate discount). My budget is closer to $150 (which is what I paid to stay here a couple of months ago).

I've called the hotel a few times and yesterday I was even quoted $180. When I called to reserve today, they couldn't do better than 230. If I use Hotwire or Priceline to blindly bid, there's a strong chance I'd get stuck in another hotel like the Hilton (do not want). I've run out of ideas. I'd appreciate your expertise
