Have I understood Avios/BMI booking correctly?

Hi

I'm about to book a one way trip GLA to Freetown FNA using Avios which involves a BMI flight between LHR and FNA.

Because the availability on my preferred date is not great for the GLA to London section I want to do the GLA to LHR section the day before I fly LHR to FNA. The only way I can make this work on BA.com is to book separate itineraries:

GLA -LHR on the 11th = 4,500 Avios and £13.50 tax
LHR - FNA on the 12th = 20,000 avios and £246 tax so total is 24,500 Avios and £259.50

If I phone BA and book by phone am I right in saying that they should be able to book the complete GLA - FNA with an overnight stopover in LHR as one itinerary with a total cost of 20,000 Avios, £246 tax and a service charge of £15 for the booking?

Just to be clear there is availability on the flights I want on the 11th GLA - LHR and on the 12th LHR - FNA just not GLA - LHR on the 12th.

The call centre is closed or I would just call them to find out, trying to work out if it's worth waiting until tomorrow for them to open again or if I should just go ahead and book online.
