The only place I ever enjoyed in this region was Carme Ruscalleda's restaurant, Sant Pau, as the food, unlike most of the north & some of the north east is, wonderful.

I never stayed at Galvina, but I would not trust Trip Advisor's opinions on it.

Alva Park Costa Brava used to be quite impressive, although it is a bit overlooked by other buildings. Worth checking out though.
