I'd recommend a trip down the coast from Lisbon. If you do get the time to do go to, say Cascais, then the train makes for a relatively short journey but be sure to buy a ticket on the way back! I and virtually all of the other tourists had difficulties on the trip back to Lisbon - we all thought we had bought return tickets in Lisbon that morning but apparently return tickets aren't available. More than a little hassle with the Ticket Inspector!
