I've stayed at all the city properties, and would give Westin River North top billing for fresh decor, location and nice member's lounge, a rarity at Westin. I take the family to the Sheraton a lot, and we almost always get suite upgrade, even on points stays, but , as mentioned, it's a bit large and faded, and the pool is usually crowded and is fairly small. Westin Michigan Ave. is fine, but outside of being a nice shopping locale, nothing special. The W Lake Shore is a rehabbed Days Inn, and the walls are a tad thin for my taste, and the city center is a dead zone on the weekend, but nice if you want it quiet.
