Interesting. So if there are seats available in CW/F a few hours before a flight, BA will let them fly empty rather than allow mileage upgrades?

Strange policy from a business perspective, but I guess it's nice for the people in F who are in an almost empty cabin.

I'm used to EK and their "pack 'em in" approach.
