If you don't mind me asking, when you booked over the phone with EK did they charge your card in LKR, AED or USD?
I booked it online (emirates.com), paying LKR, and then called for the written documentation of the ticket validity.
Based on a previous phone conversation I understood that if I booked the ticket over the phone, the ticket charge would have to be assessed in USD because I was calling from a phone with a U.S. telephone number.
I'd
much rather deal with Dallas than Mumbai/Dubai, but this issue was too big to finesse.
