Gettysburg requires a rental car, unless you can find an FT'er in the area to give you a driving tour of Gettysburg. It might be possible to take a CAT or Rabbit Transit bus from Harrisburg to York, and then Rabbit Transit to Gettysburg, but I'm not sure if Rabbit Transit offers service to Gettysburg.
