Assuming that because someone (either screener or passenger) is gay means they would automatically "enjoy" a same sex screening is the same as assuming that any straight person would enjoy patting down/being patted down by any opposite sex person. It may not be your intent, but it really does buy into the stereotype that gay people (especially men) are totally indiscriminate.

tl;dr: just because someone is gay, it doesn't mean they find every person of the same sex attractive.
