Ladies and Gentlemen, your Rimowa luggage does look great when new, especially in the catalogue. My first one in 1965 did too. Keep in mind that form (or looks) follows function. You want your case intact, not broken, torn or broken open.
Your Rimowa case will continue to protect your belongings inside as the traveling years go by, but it will pick up scratches, abrasions, and dings now and then. It does happen. All cases get them.
You can use the clean-up spray and solutions approved for the alu and polycarbonate cases. That will actually remove some abrasions and small scratches, but not corner cracks. If you have the time, watch the A380 LH crew arrive and board for the next transatlantic flight. You will see some well worn, dinged Rimowa cases, still used and appreciated by the owners. If it works for the LH FA & crew, it will work for you too.
