Hi, I've owned Rimowa Salsa Air black for 1 year now. From the first flight, it got scratches. Every succeeding flight - more scratches. Worst, a dent here and there. The luggage is still functional, the contents always protected and the size undoubtedly light. I love how easy it is to push the 4 wheels, and having both Samsonite and delsey 4 wheels, hands down Rimowa is best. But it is annoying to see so many scratches and dents on an expensive suitcase.

1. I'm puzzled by comments on Salsa owners saying they have never received a scratch. This is frankly incredible to me as every single flight, I see new visible obvious scratches. Is there something wrong that I'm doing - eg maybe those people are referring to their carryon (mine is a big one for check-in) or maybe the color Black was a bad idea as it visibly shows scratches.

2. Also, could this be a difference between Air and Deluxe? I need a medium sized luggage and now leaning towards Deluxe. But I will be so disappointed if the scratches persist in the even more expensive deluxe line. To those with both, appreciate if you can share your experiences.

3. Finally those with Samsonite polycarbonate and checking them in, are they more scratch resistant?
