In my stays at The Nines over the past year, I've had occasional but not consistent trouble with the WiFi; when I called to ask, the front desk said they'd not received similar complaints. Ironically, I've had much more consistent trouble at the Westin, so clearly YMMV.
I rarely get asked about the Gold amenity at check-in either; the couple of times I've forgotten, the additional points have posted automatically.
Others have noted Platinum upgrades are difficult here, so no surprise there is no category upgrade for Gold. I've gotten bumped to a corner room once as a Gold on a one-night stay and was told the hotel was about 60% full that night. I'm not sure they recognize the "enhanced" or "preferred" or whatever room because I'm assigned rooms all over the property, never consistently.
