The website says:
"For through journeys where the passenger travels partly on first or Business class and partly on economy class, the free baggage allowance for each portion of travel shall be granted according to each purchased ticket class.
Where a passenger who has paid the First or Business class fare travels on Economy class, the free baggage allowance shall be given based on that for the First or Business class service respectively."
It is a miles redemption (AA miles - 105K). Can I safely assume I can use the F allowance on the J flight (40kg) without risk of argument?
Thanks,
Marcus.
Not sure exactly what award you had even after looking through
oneworld and Other Airline Award Chart. I think what CX meant to say is that, if you redeemed an F award all the way through, but since F (Z) was not available for HKG-AUS you were booked in J (U), you would have F allowance all the way. However, if you redeemed 2 awards (F for EU-HKG and J for HKG-AUS), you have only the J allowance on the J segments.
