i've done a dummy booking adding MCT
so now is

JNB-LHR-MCT-LHR-SFO-JFK-MIA-BDA-MIA-ORD-LAX-MEL-WLG-SYD-JNB

I'm Wellington based and have done several RTWs ex Fiji when there was a great A RTW fare from there and also from Seoul and Amman more recently but am keen to visit SA and thought made sense to start my next AONE4 there

I'm always reluctant to buy separate ticket OZ to NZ as my plans often change and is easier to have the trans-Tasman leg on my RTW - so i'm very familiar with the Jetconnect 737 service - and I have to say the crew is always fantastic and the food v good and the new IFE is more than adequate for the length of flight.

I've always had trouble putting in PER and other stops in OZ as i've never quite got my head round the rules ... but maybe someone might make a suggestion ....
And I'll check out the JFK SYD via LAX etc - i've done that before when it was the same plane all the way,
