Just arrived at Thalasso. Extended my vacation in FP with two extra nights at Thalasso. Originally was going to use Ambassador bogo, but AMB rate too high. Booked on points, was upgraded to sapphire beside diamond (134) for no charge.
Ironically I can see my premium owb room that I just left at Le Meridien.
As others have stated, there are very few rooms with a view that isn't great (maybe the emeralds facing the dock or beach). Otherwise almost every bungalow has a view of Otemanu from the deck.
My advice is to not pay for upgrade upfront. Wait till you get here and go from there.
P.S. Wifi is 3000xpf per day, or essentially one cocktail
