In my culture, the floor is dirty. You don't want to put anything on it that will touch the rest of you.

I have observed houskeeping throwing things on the floor, folding towels on the floor, etc. If I see how things work, I probably will end up bringing my own sheets.

Then it is the same hands/gloves who clean the toilets and your sink...
