Presumably not. I arrive into T5 on BA and depart from T3 on CX.
I do have a 6 hour transit window at LHR though, so I suppose it's possible to just check my bags from the US to London, get duty free on arrival, clear immigration etc., dump duty free in my checked in bags, recheck bags at the regular LHR checkin and head back in. I have a British passport, so that should make clearing immigration a bit quicker, but it still seems like such a painful option.
Why does Australia make transiting in HKG so frustrating? (rhetorical question).
