Anywaaaaay, the food offering demands close attention which the IFE would prevent.
The details such as "What goes where?", "What is all this frozen cutlery for?", "Why have I got my pudding already?", "Where does my roll go?", "How do I open/manage these tacky little sachets of condiments?", "How can I cut this steak?", "How do I get this gravy off my shirt and/or trousers?" … etc. etc.
They all combine to require TOTAL concentration on the task in hand.
