No. I'm a former Flight Attendant. They'd find it extremely entertaining if you did ask this!

It's only the cabin temperature that we could control, and even then, only slightly. Yes, it's kept a little cool on purpose because of the number of people in the plane.

Your baby should be fine at 8000ft. It's only slightly less oxygen and it's only for a short time. Also, your baby will be fine with the pressurization changes on take-off and landing as long as your baby doesn't have any ear infections or blockages. It's not necessary to wake them up, force them to feed or use a pacifier. Common myth about flying. If your baby is uncomfortable, s/he will cry and that's the best way to open up the ears!

But the vast majority of babies on planes do fine. If your baby cries, please don't blame it on the pressurization and make sure s/he is not hungry, too hot or needs a change. Those are more common reasons for crying on airplanes!
