Virgin Australia has a close relationship with Delta but... it has an even closer relationship with Air NZ (star), a significant relationship with SQ (Star), and a very tight relationship with Etihad (unaligned). I think VAs relationship with Delta is a factor but no more or less than those other relationships that it has.
