To follow this up, a return flight for two people on FlyBe/Logan Air from GLA to BEB is 18,000 Avios and £76.32.

Factor in a ba.com Avios reward flight saver (return) from LON - GLA, which is another 18,000 Avios and £54 for the two people... And this mean:

LON - Outer Hebrides return, via GLA, for a couple, is 36k Avios and £130.32 (plus credit card booking fees I guess, but I didn't get that far).

To put this in perspective, I would typically pay anywhere from £400-550 for this (for two people) if making a cash booking on ba.com. If you are Avios rich, this is useful to know.

Off now to explore what else you can do with Avios points on Avios.com. And incidentally, it says you can transfer as many points as you like from the BAEC (providing you have them, that is). And transfer them back, without fees, as many times as you like...
