The turndown service leaving a fragrance shell or pine cone is great...the mints left on the 3rd night was a touch less imaginative - but the shell especially was creative and memorable.
All the bell staff greeted me everytime I passed through the front door, in or out, and the lounge staff were friendly and personable. The lounge is one of the better ones I have visited.!
Glad you enjoyed your stay
What's one person’s pleasure is another person’s misery.
I am unlikely to return due to the overuse of sprays in guest rooms despite that it’s a beautiful property.
Glad to hear that team members are interacting with guests it was virtually nonexistent during my stay.
Perhaps it was good to mention it as team members (door and bellman) were letting down the vast majority of all guests observed
Elsewhere throughout the property they were indeed hospitable, outgoing
I personally would pay a double premium on my room if the hotel would toss every can of fragrance spray in the rubbish container.
However I am happy to know that there are indeed fans of it

Cheers
I've stayed here quite a few times and never noticed fragrance in my room ( lack of upgrade issues aside)
I wonder if the previous occupants in your room were secret smokers and housekeeping were attempting to get rid of the stench by fragrance as there are no opening windows?
I've certainly noticed this method of deodorizing at a few South East Asian properties.
