These are total newbie questions. Please excuse me for my ignorance, and please let me know if I've posted to the wrong place (and where the right place is).

I've a friend who would like me to transfer my Delta miles to her so that she can book an award roundtrip (cost is looking like about 75k to 90k miles, is this even a good deal?) SCE-BES-SCE (SCE-CDG-SCE is also acceptable), since she doesn't want to pay for the expensive ticket. She said she can pay me back the cost of those miles, plus transfer fee. However, since there are mileage transfer fees, I am thinking maybe I should just book the award ticket for her? Several questions:

(1) If she pays me money for using my miles to book an Delta award ticket for her, how do I even calculate how much the miles cost and how much to charge??? I got some miles for free, while others were accumulated after an expensive flight.

(2) I am a Silver Elite member, and she is not. Are there benefits for booking award ticket as Silver Elite versus non-Elite Skymiles member?

I am at a loss as to how to best proceed, so that she gets a better deal than paying for an expensive ticket (~US$1500), and I don't get ripped off while still being able to help a good friend.

Any suggestions would be great!
