can highly recommend lm khao lak and sheraton krabi
both are at very nice beaches
Krabi
+ Lounge
+ huge garden area, good breakfast
LeMeridien khao lak
+ different style of villas
+ slightly better rooms than at the Sheraton
+ good breakfast
-no lounge


we had great trips from krabi to smaller islands (e.g Koh Hong) with private boat. Sheraton Krabi is not far from AoNang which is full of life in the nights.
I was in Khao Lak in low season ( i think september) and it was very quiet... almost no restaurants open, very quiet
