I'm looking to book a trip in July with United or US. I price it on US and it's 160$ cheaper than if I were to price it on United. (All on US metal)

Is there any benefit to calling up and asking to book it through United if they would "price match"? [Do they fare match?] (I prefer having all my flights in one spot, but it's not a huge issue to me...)

I also have one other question about traveling on US:
Would CPUs as a Silver 'work'? Basically, would US recognize me as a United Premier and put me on the upgrade list even if I'm not a US silver?
