Had a somewhat irritating experience at YEG the other day: Wanted to collect my BP and the check-in agent made me weigh my rollaboard. Itīs a standard hang-baggage rollaboard Iīve used for years and have never had issues with on 100+ AC flights.

Of course, the rollboard was 1-2kg heavier than permitted with the laptop, cables etc. inside. The GA wanted me to repack my hand baggage as two separate items, but eventually let it go.

So, AC, I hope this was just an isolated incident, but if itīs some kind of silly new program (like the LH baggage excellence campaign), get rid off it right now and donīt annoy your FFs!

And just to be clear: I have absolutely no problems with AC enforcing the max. size of carryons and the max. number of pieces of baggage as well as stopping pax from bringing their kitchen and half their garage onboard.

But as a SE travelling in J with only one regular size piece of hand baggage I donīt appreciate this nonsense and generally expect a certain amount of leeway when it comes to the weight of the carryon.
