I went from Gold to GGL a few weeks ago.
The same day as my GGL showed under 'Benefits Earned' my CIV showed as 97, so it seems to happen straight away (or as soon as your qualifying flight has credited to your account).
GGL doesn't show on your BP, it only says Gold as before.
The 24/7 call center is great (I could have done with that a few times in the past).
P.S. I know 'Open Doors' was removed for Golds a while back.
Was it also removed for GGL?
