Irrespective of where you go, beach - city - mountains, no-one likes to be rained in with nothing to do. My friend and I reflected that issues with hotel rooms, staff and management seemed to appear more often if the weather was crap. If the weather was nice however most issues were overlooked by the traveller.

We've all heard the couple returning from their honeymoon in the South Pacific, where it rained continuously for 2 weeks with no hint of sunshine. Whinghing about nothing to do, they furiously recount a list of complaints about how the hotel was 'boring' and how 'it was the trip from hell'.

What about you? Have you had some shocking holiday weather which turned your trip sour?
How did you keep yourself occupied / keep yourself sane?
For newlyweds on their honeymoon, wouldn't that be a positive feature for them?
