7 hours is a hell of a long time to wait in any airport public area and indeed, even if you bought access, in any lounge. If I were you, I would consider three options:
- either go to Paris to enjoy a nice lunch and early afternoon break (take the RER B southwards - preferably one of the fast ones - you could get off either at Chatelet Les Halles (north bank) or St Michel Notre Dame (south bank) both of which are in very interesting areas. Or you could also take the Roissybus to Opera if you prefer.
- or stay in the Roissy area and get a day room. The Ibis tends to have reasonable rates I think. The Sheraton is better located (walking distance from 2E) but more expensive.
- or, as suggested by mtkeller ask AF to move you on to the next EDI-CDG flight to shorten the transit.
I would not want to spend 7 hours, even in the rather nice lounge, before a 13 hour flight.
