Armageddon is a nice word. I sufficiently used, IMO.

Anyway, OP, these things happen, depending on the IFE fit. You obviously had a very bad experience at a critical moment in the movie. You could try asking BA for compensation ... Do let us know how you get on. I just got 15k Avios for a broken footrest in CW, so you never know your luck.
