Yes, I agree. Where it used to be simple - every train started at the lowest bucket and as seats sold they moved on to higher buckets, now they seem to start at middle or higher buckets on trains they think will sell out. And I agree with the OP, on the trains I have been on the coaches have been much lighter than before someone started getting cute about revenue management.
