I was traveling a few days ago through vienna airport going schengen to non-schengen flight connection - the new terminal is very long and disorienting and also not enough personnel for screening and passport control. Others almost missed flights.
I was lucky to go through in a non-peak time, but it takes a long time to connect - 40 minutes almost at the very least.

to sum it up, this is my letter of criticism sent to the airport:

I am dissatisfied with your new terminal at Vienna airport. it is too long to go through and with bad orientation, no stairways open for switching to other levels and the waiting lines are very long, causing delays and even missing the flights. not very good treatment for non-schengen area and even everyone else.
