But you don't have to pay more then $5.00 in any case, even without the players card, to exit the parking garage. There are payment machines in the casino's main entrance lobby near the garage elevators where you can pay the $5.00 (or $10.00 at busy times) in advance before you get to your car to exit the garage. Also same payment machines on the fifth level and either the seventh or eighth level of the garage as you exit the elevators. The card readers at the gates seem to often be finicky, as many times I've had to insert my or my wife's players card three or four times before the gates opened. Don't understand why the gate attendant tried to charge you $20 when leaving.
The attendant did not try to charge me $20. She tried to charge me $5 cash (they don't take credit cards at the exit gate, right?) because I hadn't played (hadn't gambled) $20 on my PAC card (players card) that day.

At that point, there wasn't an option any more to go pay the $5 in advance (my car was already at the exit gate). And why should I have tried to pay $5 in advance when I was told both here on FT and at the PAC desk (half an hour earlier) that it didn't matter how much I played that day, I could use the card to exit that day.

If you're going to play "for real" (and thus probably at least $20), I don't see an issue. But the casino parking has been promoted here (on FT) as "free" if you "just gamble $1 or $2" (ie, for people who don't normally gamble but just want to pay even less than $5!), and that's what my experience didn't quite match.
