Four Points Sheraton San Diego Downtown

So when did this hotel pop up? It was a Hoilday Inn , build as a Holiday Inn, and now is part of the Sheraton Family. I stated there (when it was a Holiday Inn) 4 months agos... Did SHeraton just take it over and did not refurbish the rooms (they looked great on my last stay.)
