(8) Do you travel for work or pleasure? Pleasure mostly.

Need advise on whether i should change to a different program from SQ since i have not had any great benefits from it. Basically wish to know if there are any better redemption options in other *alliance programs. I did look at asiana but not sure if i didnt fly on their airline will i still get points while flying other *alliance airlines?
Or is SQ my only choice given my home airport is MEL.
