Man wish I would have seen this. Spent 4 nights at the Marriott on Marco Island. Called to say what's up with the points and the nights are missing and I learned of this. I then came here and saw this thread.

Ouch. We were deciding between a Hilton on Marco Island and the marriott. The lower rate and being gold we got a gulf front room, but I am shocked by this.

I tend to agree with the arguments on this that if you are staying with them, you should get at LEAST elite nights.

I do about 10 a year at F&F. I have 46 nights this year and this was going to make me 50.

Any ideas on ways to get 4 nights? No more real travel plans at the moment. Well I have 2 free night certs, but that doesn't count.
