Edit: I looked at my BP's from this past weeks intl flights and they don't say anything about the cabin other than the big "I" for international and Premier Access. I think this is how they've been for a long time now, at least from Seattle.

The flight number does have the cabin code ("F", "J" or "Y") after it but not the true class I'm booked in.

The "old" boarding passes had two parts, the one you kept and the one the airline kept at the gate. The one the airline kept showed the true class of service while the part you kept showed as F/C/J - I was told so the F/A didn't know if you were upgraded or on a discounted ticket or full-fare. In other words to treat everyone as premium travelers.

Off thought - I was on an LH flight from FRA-DXB and heard F/A state "half [biz] cabin full of mileage passengers" which I guess they have the ability to know.
