Did BA ever fly to Kabul or other obscure places that no one flies to now???
Im sure I heard that BA used to serve Kabul from Heathrow
and Tehran, Baghdad and Rangoon from Heathrow as well
did they???
I think they flew to Kabul because when I went there as a student I flew Aeroflot because it was much cheaper than the BA direct
And I am also sure that they flew to Rangoon, because when I went there as a student as well I flew Biman Bangladesh because it was cheaper than the BA direct as well
I regularly used to go obscure places and the BA direct was always so expensive that I used to have to go unusual routes. For Istance I went to Tel Avia on Tarom via Bucharest, and I went to Lagos on Air Bulgaria via Sofia and Tripoli
But the fact of the matter is that BA also flew to these unusual places as well, only I cannot find them anymore on the list of BA destinations on the internet
