Indeed. As a US/UK dual national, one of the main things keeping my partner and me out of the US is that our relationship has no legal existence on a federal level there, whereas here it is completely legal and recognised on a national level. Well - that and the Victorian work practices, the general hypocritical prudishness of the people and the vacuousity of the pop culture. Other than that, it's paradise.
