For the past 2 years, I was based out of NYC, and my employer was a member of the AAirpass program. So almost every work-related flight I took was in AA F. At the same time, I frequently returned to Canada to visit friends and family, and took AC most of the time, usually upgraded to J. So "seriously," I do feel qualified to comment on this matter without being "ignorant and/or in denial." But thanks for knowing so much about me.

As for the rest of your post, clearly different people value different things. You don't mind having to bring special adapters just to access power? Well, I don't care about the size of the ramekin my mixed nuts are served in. You think AC offers too much space between seats? Well, some people like not rubbing shoulders with their neighbours. You care about solid cabin dividers? I like cabins that don't look like they were designed 30 years ago. You find letting families with small children board early annoying? I don't care for AA's policy of letting Y passengers use F bathrooms. As for lounges, is it really fair to compare a complimentary benefit for status members and domestic J flyers to something one has to pay for?

And nicely done on presenting high resolution images of AA meals while including a skewed and blurry cell phone shot of an AC cabin. I guess that kind of devotion to journalistic neutrality goes nicely with hyperbole like describing all AA agents as "infinitely better" and calling this airport a "dump."

My point from the start was that all airlines have pros and cons, and different people value different things. You prefer AA; I prefer AC. And it has nothing to do with my nationality. Given the subjective nature of this debate, I just think it's a stretch to call AA's product "far superior." As to whether or not AC deserves the awards it has received? You might conveniently dismiss both airlines' long-haul products, but those awards were comprehensive and weren't kind enough to overlook an important aspect of a major airline's product offering.

People value different things from airlines. You have your nose in the air when you're served a drink from a cart in F or J. Others don't care.
