Yes it can be a short flight. The Nice and Copenhagen flights are the shortest band 3 flights that we have. The bands are done on the timetabled block times and in the case of both these flights, they are often considerably faster flights than the schedualled time.
There are a few anomalies and TXL is a flight that can often be longer but only has band 2 catering, however band 3 catering would be very hard to achieve sometimes.
To be clear, on some Nice flights with a high Club load it can be hard to achieve a seperate drinks round first. For these instances the SCCM is allowed to follow the food with drinks. This however should only be happening when a seperate drinks round would not be possible. Maybe the problem is that a few SCCMs are doing this on all their flights!
