Does anyone know whether the refund for the portion of a cancelled refundable ticket purchased with an evoucher would be a paper voucher or an evoucher?

Also, how would the expiration date of the new voucher be determined? (? based on date flight purchased? date of cancellation of flight? Date of flight? etc.)
