FWIW, I also have an OCI booklet, and my OCI Visa is in this passport. I'd rather renew when I return from India rather than rush to renew right now.
I've been to India on US passports that had 0 blank pages left in them -- never had a problem although they have struggled to find a place to stamp and/or try to match entry/exit stamps.
