The lounge looks much better than the F lounge at JFK.
You meant BA Lounge? BA Lounge at YVR has really great service, much nicer and more personal than the one at JFK, for sure. But not Concorde Room, I like Concorde Room in JFK better than LHR though.
Living in Seattle, I did these runs to NYC a lot, parked at YVR, when I flew back and landed around 2am, it's easier to drive back to Seattle at late night (no traffic). One time I spent less than 2 hours to get to my house in Seattle from YVR (a bit over the speed limit hehe).
One thing you could do is, you can attach this CX888/9 leg to other OW flight in F, and it's worth the miles spent. Like I did YVR-JFK-LHR-JNB-CPT as one way award in F. I will also do YVR-JFK-AUH-BOM-CCU (combined with EY F) soon. You could even do YVR-JFK-NRT-Asia as well, with a stop over in NYC, (on CX F, then JL F) (As long as it's under MPM)

There were some wonderful pictures in there too! I am flying CX F for the first time later this year, blew most of my BA Miles before the change in redemption rates kicked in and can't wait to get onboard! How do you find the crew when you ask them to take your picture? I am traveling alone and would maybe quite like to have at least one picture of myself in my seat, but am always a bit shy or feel silly asking someone to do it...
If you don't mind me saying, a very stylish young man too, some lovely wardrobe items came with you on that trip! ^
Thanks for your nice comment!

You know I wish I could travel with someone so I did not have to ask FA to do that. Sometimes I chatted with other passengers in the Lounge who also traveled alone, and they offered to take pictures for me. I know sometimes I felt silly... but you gotta do your FT job! And I always asked politely and cited the fact that I am an Aviation enthusiast.

Quite the trip report.
I must say, the pictures you took in the CX F cabin are some of the best I've seen on FT. Most are either blurry or are at some awkward angle. The angle you took them from were just the exact view points I like to see.
Good work.
