I think it's worth the 50% premium (we're used to the old CO program, where biz class was a 100% premium, which I think is rarely "worth it"). She was unmoved. so coach it is. I used to do this sector a lot and flying C/F makes a huge difference. I've never flown AF/KL, but the flights to India ex-FRA and MUC are a pain in Y. Lousy seat pitch, crying babies, unclean toilets, indifferent to downright hostile FAs. And if you're traveling over the Christmas holidays, the flights will be absolutely packed. Have another go at convincing your wife - C and F on a 24 hour journey (door to door) is absolutely worth it.
