The tunnel between 2E and 2F is landside, i.e you have to pass immigration, airside connection from 2E main terminal is by bus. Sometimes, landside connection is faster, but airside (bus) connection is simpler. However, if you arrive at the satellite, you walk directly to 2F without passing at 2E main terminal. As you don't know if both flights arrive at the same gates, I would definitively opt for meeting at the departure gate. It's probably easier to get lost within terminal 2E than missing a transfer sign to 2F.
