I highly doubt that an FA would physically wake up somebody for a credit card application. Yes the announcements are annoying but complaining about it?? Its the nature of commercial air travel especially since us passengers dont really pay what it actually costs to provide the air travel.
I don't find it that hard to believe. Most FAs would have the sense and courtesy to not wake a passenger to try and score a CC commission but I can easily believe there are FAs who would do that out there.
