Sounds like you're saying anyone who hits 50k by mid-year should be granted EXP status? If you can hit 50 by mid-year then you can hit 100k by year-end and earn the status per the terms of the program. I don't think AA should grant EXP status based on 6 months of travel. What if you have 0 travel for rest of year and end up at just over 50k EQM/EQP for a year? The requirements for status are clearly documented and expecting an exception at mid-year seems a bit much.
